Last few weeks

Lantz learned to crawl this week. We were all so excited for him. It took about two days for him to master it and now nothing is safe. He follows the kids to their room and when he heard them in the bathtub without him, he went in to investigate. It makes life easier nowthat he can get around and entertain himself, but he gets into EVERYTHING!! It is crazy how life can change so much in one week with just one little milestone. What a big boy!
Last weekend Zak and John went to the Fathers and Son's outing and I took the two little ones camping with the Young Women. We all had a great time, the only regret is that we could have gone camping together instead of separate. This is Lantz for his first time camping the kids all did great and we had a lot of fun. I had to search out all of our long sleeves and long pants to go, although it wasn't ever cold.
Dad and Joan stopped by for two days on there way to Utah. We love to see them and had a great visit. We will miss not seeing them for nine months or so. They stocked us up with garden vegetables, fresh and canned, and lots of treats! They are probably glad they won't see us for a while, thier last night here was memorable. Makelle got car sick and threw up, Lantz was teething and was crying for the whole drive home from the park and Zak was having a coughing attack. I felt bad my kids weren't thier normal selves. I promise they really are good cute happy kids!!

Here is the little guy in action!

Sorry I haven't been in the picture taking mood. Life was crazy for a while but last week it slowed down, we spent most of the week at home and it rained all week. Lots of people in our branch got stranded last week coming home from a stake activity. I wasn't smart enough to know not to drive through the river and luckily made it home. What a crazy adventure. Some people had flood damage but we came out fine. I also got to do baptisms for the dead with the youth. It was a great time. I got to be the lady who handed them the towel when they got out of the font. I am getting so grown up. We had several couples over last week for dinner and games. We had a great time although the original plan was to go boating, but the rain dashed those plans.

We all felt bad that we missed the baptisms for Kimberlyn and Natalie. We wished so much that we could be there and we thought about you all day. It is hard to know that the whole stinken crazy family is together without us. We miss and love you guys. I went to the RS broadcast at our church and watched it on a TV. I missed being with family watching it at the church. They always talk about moms too and it always makes me miss and appreciate my wonderful mom.

Zak has been practicing his songs for the primary program. He has also been having a terrible time with his asthma. I finally had to get a prescription for his steroid because he would cough all day and all night. Poor guy. He has to do his machine twice a day now, which is expensive and takes a lot of time, but he is good about it and it is starting to help him.

Makelle loves to sing and dance around the house and she loves to play house. She loves to help me cook and make Lantz laugh. She is getting so excited for Halloween and her birthday. She is one stubborn girl. John says I was probably just like her, if so, I don't know how I or my parents survived. She sure is cute but she has a mind of her own and is so stubborn and emotional.

Lantz has six teeth now and gets into everything. He laughs and laughs at his siblings and he loves to come to his MOM! He looks more and more like Zak although he is a Blondy and has blue eyes.

I am excited to start cake decorating classes this week with a friend from the branch. It sounds a little overwhelming but I am excited to learn something my mom was good at and that I can use for my family and friends. Wish me luck!

John is busy busy but it isn't with school. He is Mr. full time church calling and it is great to see him excited about it and magnifying his calling. He is still just the Elders Quorum 1st counselor but he has had an insane amount of meetings, appointments, assignments and lots of travel these days. What a guy we sure love him!!

Too Tired

Life is crazy and I am too tired to say much, but here is the best I could do for the week. Life is still great and just gets better! What a life. Tomorrow we look forward to having Dad and Joan overnight.
Enjoy! By the way I am working on getting a web cam and hope to get one by the end of the week. I think it will be easier and more exciting to stay in touch. Wish us luck in getting it to work.

This is Makelle climbing on the very top of the TV. First I yelled at her and then told her to stay there for a picture and come right down. This is Lantz entertaining himself and staying out of trouble while I get ready for the day.
When I am in the bathroom everyone has to join me.
Just waking up.

Crazy kids what more can I say?

There isn't much more I can write besides crazy for the first three pictures! CRAZY!

I have been working with Lantz on standing up so we practice everyday. He can hold on to a chair and balance by himself. He sure loves his brother.
TOO BIG!
Zak and Makelle figured out a way to swing together so I don't have to push Makelle and Zak doesn't have to get off his swing and push her either. Silly kids.
This worked lots better Zak could hold on to her swing and pump them both.
Farmer in the Dell and Pika!?!?

Don't they make good cowboys?!

Lantz gets so excited about things he just wishes he could join in all the fun.
He is so close to crawling. When he really does it, I know it will be for my cell phone. Why is it so enticing?
Here is a video with Zak making Lantz laugh. It isn't the best but I can't ever capture the great ones.

We had a great week with play dates, story times, feeding ducks and turtles, the zoo, pool parties and lots of fun with friends. Whew, our life is crazy but fun and exciting. Seriously who knew life could be so grand. We had an awesome weekend. We spent the whole weekend with family (branch family). We had a branch picnic on Saturday and that night we had a baptism. It was my first time to be in a real chapel for almost four months. It was so weird and nice. It almost made me cry to sit in a chapel again. We got to witness the baptisms of an entire family. The parents and two of the children were old enough to get baptized. The spirit was so strong. The chapel was full of almost every active member of our branch. AMAZING what a great opportunity to attend and be a part of that. It is so exciting to be a part of this work. One of the girls that got baptized is in my Beehive class, so I look forward to teaching her in class. John got assigned as their home teacher and is giving them the new member discussions as we speak. Good old Johnny who has always been a primary teacher is out of is comfort zone and magnifying his callings. It is so cute to see him in this leadership position, what a guy! Today we ended the weekend with two couples in our branch that live close by coming over for a BBQ. And now a new week begins.
