Christmas Break

To say we enjoyed Christmas break would be an understatement. Our lives slowed way down and we were all happy to be home and to be together. We made the most of it. The kids wanted to have a fancy party while Lindsey was in town. They are quite the parties with great food, dancing, costumes, singing, and lots of silliness.

We had another party planned by Zak to bring in the New Year! These were some of the hats made.
We got our first snow. A skiff but the kids just had to get out and play. It was first thing in the morning in their pajamas.

We built lots of legos and train tracks during the break. LOTS!

We also had some really nice days we had to take advantage of.

Lots of long days, wears a princess out.

This is the kids on the way to take Lindsey home. They sure look excited!

We had a great break, and now back to real life for all of us.

Christmas 2012

This is how our day started...
Lots of everyone's favorite candy from Santa.

Santa brought dress up clothes for Makelle.

Zak's favorite gift, the only thing he played with on Christmas.

Santa brought Lantz lots of puzzles, his favorite thing!

Every sister loves dressing up her younger brother to play dress up. Makelle is no exception and Lantz is finally willing to play along.

The kids got lots of games and we played them over and over and over again.

We had a FANTASTIC Christmas this year. I would say the best ever. We took time to do things that really matter. We tried to think of others and that is what made it the best Christmas ever! We worked hard on memory books for all of the grandparents and we did the 12 days of Christmas for a couple in our branch. Between those two things we had the spirit of Christmas all month long. It was wonderful. My kids especially loved the 1 hour car ride as we would take the 12 days of Christmas. We sang and told Christmas stories and just talked it was wonderful. The kids looked forward to it every night. They thought they were so sneaky. It wouldn't be Christmas without Lindsey. We were lucky to have her for the 3rd Christmas in a row. We had a fantastic visit with her and we all were sad when she had to leave.
