November and December Catch up!

We love Christmas, Winter and December at our house.  We have already been busy spending our last holiday in Indiana doing our favorite things.  Which include the carriage ride to see the lights on the square.  One of John's patients owns the carriage company so after he took us on our ride he let the kids go on a pony ride.  Of course they loved that!  The weather was nice so it was a perfect night.

Lantz loves storytime with his friends and he especially loved it the day Santa came!  He got right up on his knee and asked for the first thing he could think of...silly boy.  Karlee didn't cry but she wasn't so sure about things either.  Lantz was trying to tell Santa all sorts of things before he left.

We did the Elf on the Shelf this year and the kids love it!  They decided to name him Edward and they check the shelf first thing in the morning before they are even all the way awake!  He is always causing some sort of trouble and making messes.  Everyday Lantz says we need to send him back to the North Pole because he is naughty...but we are nice!

This little...ok big girl...is content to just watch and enjoy whatever we are up to.  She has the craziest hair after every nap.  It gets all curly and out of control!  She was testing some of the candy we were using for our Gingerbread houses...another Christmas time favorite.

We woke up to this mess one morning...Edward trying to make Christmas cookies...too bad they weren't edible!
We got to have my sisters five kids stay with us for a week while Janice and Mark went to Washington, DC.  We had a FANTASTIC time and loved having them here.  The weather was beautiful the entire week so the kids spent tons of time playing outside together.  We had a great week getting reacquainted and making memories.  I was a little worried about so many of us together all week but we had a blast! We spent one day at the zoo and we all got to feed some of the birds.
Can you believe this little girl is SIX??  Crazy!  She was so excited to be 6 and she had a great birthday with her family.  She got one party with Grandma and Grandpa and then cake with just our family.  All of us made her a movie for her birthday telling what we love about her and I told about the day she was born.  I think we might make it a birthday tradition...we loved it!

In November we were lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa come for a visit.  We love having them come for the Primary program and Makelle's Birthday.  During this visit we spent a nice sunny day visiting Madison and going on a hike. Then John and I sent the kids with Grandma and Grandpa and we went to a bed and breakfast in the middle of no where.  We also got to go on a 2 1/2 hour horse trail ride.  The first horse ride ever for John.  We had a fantastic time!
