Trip to Tennessee

We got to spend four days in Tennessee with my Dad and Joan at their time share. We had a great time. It was about four and a half hours away, so it wasn't too far. We had a little town home to stay in so it worked out great. It was a lake with a nice beach area. It was very pretty and the lake water was surprisingly warm, nothing like Utah lakes. The downside was that it was in the sixty 's some of the days with thunder and lightening. Not ideal weather for water and sand, but we made the most of it, and played at the beach any chance we had.
This is the beach pretty and empty. It was pouring rain and we were the only crazies playing in the rain that day. I really am having fun playing in the rain, I promise. Lindsey was laughing her head of f and taking pictures. We were quite a sight.
Makelle trying to catch some sun to warm up after playing in the water. She had her very own boat that Joan bought her, and she could touch the bottom and swim around in it. She loved it.
L While driving to a playground (the drive itself is a whole different story), we stopped in the middle of the road to see a giant ugly turtle. We know that the turtle doesn't look super imposing in this picture, but it was actually a mutant killing turtle! When my dad tried to pick it up it jumped about two feet and tried to bite his hand off. It had a long tail, huge claws and very sharp teeth. It sent the kids running ( and screaming and crying) back to the car. They wouldn't let their grandpa get anywhere close to them after that because he had turtle hands!

Lantz loved being outside.

Lantz liked getting wet and playing in the sand too.
Our last morning there it was sunny, so we got up early to get some beach time in before we had to check out. They raked the sand all nice. This is Zak pouting down the beach away from us.

Makelle and I buried Zak's entire body.

Big Boy Lantz is having a great time back at the house. He can rollover from his tummy now, and he holds himself up very good on his tummy. He has recently found his voice and loves to hear himself scream. He can also sit in his highchair now.

Zak on the way home, he is exhausted.

Makelle of course is sucking on her blanket for the ride!!
