the petting zoo

This week we went to the Huber Petting Zoo with Janice and her family. The kids loved all of the different animals, as long as they stayed behind the fence! I know the sign says orchard and winery, but there really was a petty zoo!
Zak and Makelle loved the bunnies and the baby Shetland pony.

While the kids were trying to feed the baby sheep, the mom kept sticking its head through the fence and scaring them. Ashley tried to block the kids, and this happened (obviously Lindsey writing). I made her stay there for a picture.
One of Zak's very favorite things was the baby cow. He wouldn't feed it out of his hand, but he liked to stick food into it's trough and watch it eat.
There were tons of goats to feed and pet

Makelle "trip trapping" over a different bridge!
The two craziest goats in the place, plus varied other crazy animals.
Lantz sat in his stroller, sucked his thumb, and was (as usual) a very good boy!
Makelle was more interested in the non-animal attractions
There were also pedal carts to ride, and a few big slides for everyone to go on.

Zak and Ashley coming down the slide
Makelle walking back alone, she changed her mind once she got up there!

There was a little mining stream where the kids could find and sift rocks. Makelle would have been perfectly content to play in the water all day long!

  1. That looks like so much fun! We have lived here for 3 years and have never been there. It's on our list to go! I am glad you all found so many cool things to do.
