John graduates from Dental School!!!

It is crazy to think that Dental School is over.  It has flown by for our family.  We have loved it and would do it all again in a heartbeat.  It has been such an amazing journey for our family.  It really wasn't about dental school for us.  It was about living here in Indiana enjoying so many opportunities as a family...John just happened to be in dental school along with it.  We are so humbled to think of the blessings we have received just from a small prompting to get more education.  I am so grateful Heavenly Father has a greater vision for us than we do.  He has put people in our life that have forever changed us.  I find it no coincidence that we ended up here on New Perry Ln in Sellersburg.  He knew there was work to be done and things to learn and that it would best happen here.  He knew there would be people who could teach us and bless us here.  We will miss our friends who have become our family and helped us to make this the best four years of our lives!!  I am so grateful to John and his hard work through these years.  He never got stressed and he never had to be the best.  He was  a husband and father first and then a dental student.  That attitude made it such a great experience.  Thankfully Heavenly Father blessed him with lots of smarts, so that helped too!!

Nice work Johnny!!!

Zak on his first night of Scouts!  He was so excited to go and had a blast even though he was the only boy his age.  He has it all planned out of what he has to do to pass stuff out and he is eager to do it!

The Church he was Baptized in.  It looks lots different than it did when we moved here.  Zak also got to be the first one to be baptized in the new Charlestown WARD!

Zak's baptism Today was Zak's baptism and I can't even describe how AMAZING it was.  I was looking forward to it and I knew it would be special but I had no idea how wonderful it would be.  He has been looking forward to it for so long and he was so ready and prepared.  We had lots of family come to support him.  David and Valynn came a few days earlier, then Emy and Anna, then Lindsey and Becca, The Berthelson family, and My Dad and Joan.  We invited a few close friends: The Graves, McCulloughs, Liechtys, Fieldings, Fieldings, and Zak's best friend Lucas.  We all squeezed in to the RS room and had Makenna playing prelude music.  Everyone was in there seats a tleast 15 min early and were enjoying the music. I was overwhelmed as I looked into the room to see so many of our family and friends.  Heavenly Father has been so good to us!   The program was short and simple.  It turned out to be amazing.  Zak called every person participating on the program to ask them to do their part.  We started out with President Fielding conducting which was super cool because we really like him.  Camille gave the opening prayer.  Sister Liechty played the piano and Grandma Joan led the music.  Andrew gave an excellent talk about baptism.  He used several scriptures and spoke about them.  The baptism went great.  I was so glad that my family could be there to see Zak get baptized.  What an example to my other kids.  I am so grateful John was worthy to baptize him.  Dad and David were the witnesses and he only had to do it once.  We quickly went back in to the RS room where Makenna played more music and the guests wrote testimonies and well wishes on little cards for Zak.  After Zak got back we had a presentation of the Articles of Faith.  Each friend and family member there recited a memorized article of Faith.  Lantz started it off and Zak ended it.  It was cool to see all of his friends, cousins, and siblings say an article of faith.  Then all of John's sisters, his mom, and Makelle sang the rainbow song.  The spirit was super strong.  Everyone was crying.  Then Lindsey gave an amazing talk on the Holy Ghost.  Then he was confirmed by his dad.  The spirit was tangible.  There was so much truth that was being bore and the spirit was telling us it was all right and good. Sister McCullough and Brother McCullough each welcomed him to the primary and ward and then President Fielding said a few words.  It was the most spirit filled baptism I have ever been to.  Zak was teary eyed during the confirmation as well as at the end of the program.  It was an hour of heaven on Earth and everyone in attendance could feel it. Words can't really describe how great it was.  I know we had lots of Heaven there with us!!  Now I can't wait for Makelle to get baptized so we can experience it all again.  A  huue thanks to everyone who came to support Zak.
